Business After Business (BAB) is hosted by a different member business or organization each month to showcase the diversity of our membership and provide a fresh environment to network and connect with local businesses.
Join Project Watershed for an up-close look at the Kus-kus-sum Project, a joint project between the K'ómoks First Nation, the City of Courtenay and Project Watershed. We will be giving tours and talks about the restoration process and next steps. There will be snacks and beverages available under shade tents at the meeting area. Other than the snack tents there is little other shade on the site; we encourage attendees to wear hats, sunscreen and sunglasses. As the planted areas of the site are bare earth, uneven and rough and we ask that those who want to walk on the site wear sturdy shoes. Please note that there is no restroom onsite.
Please access the Kus-kus-sum site at the north end near the 17th Street Bridge. Attendees are encouraged to ride share, bike or walk over bridge to minimize parking and traffic on and off the site. Cars can be parked along the inside of the concrete divider that runs along the road beside the north end of the site. Here is a map to facilitate your arrival on site.
