Comox Valley Chamber​ in collaboration with Smith Lake Farms​ brings you the 1st Annual Agri-tour & Summer BBQ. Proudly sponsored by RLR Lawyers​, Experience Comox Valley​ and featuring local Chamber Member food producers, we gather to celebrate the end of summer at Vancouver Island's premier agritourism destination. Bring your family and enjoy the Farm!

Smith Lake Farm's own Clea Adair will be sharing her story of dreaming the farm into existence and we will have the opportunity to tour the apiary and learn about the bees. Partial event proceeds will go to support the Comox Valley Farmers' Market Association's​ 'New Farmer Bursary'.

Is there anything better than locally grown? We don't think so!

For our BBQ dinner, we will be showcasing Smith Lake Farm sausages and Comox Valley Farmers' Market vendors produce. Land & Sea Brewing​ is creating a custom brew for this event, the 'Summer Stout' utilizing Smith Lakes' own farm grown honey. Natural Pastures Cheese Company​ and Wayward Distillery​ will join us, offering custom tastings of their award winning products. Eatmore Sprouts & Greens​ have generously donated sprouts and microgreens for our Valley grown salads. We are extremely proud to support our Chamber Member food and product producers with this collaborative event!

BEE TOURS

Smith Lake Farms is focused on raising sustainable local bees that have mite resistant qualities. They believe in the importance of a local plan for food security and pollinators are an integral component.

With the generous support of Experience Comox Valley, our guests will have the opportunity to tour the apiary and learn about the bees.

LAND AND SEA BEER COLLAB with SMITH LAKE FARMS HONEY

Presenting the 'Summer Stout', a collaboration between Chamber Members, Land & Sea Brewing and Smith Lake Farms. The farm honey is made from nectar foraged at Smith Lake Farm. It is amber to light coloured depending on the year and blooms. Head Brewer at Land & Sea, Tessa G, strives to produce clean, crisp and crushable session beer and has a passion for precision when brewing. The CV Chamber is proud to help foster this opportunity for collaboration!
